The GEM-GE-7511 laser energy meter employs an InGaAs photodiode to measure the energy in a laser pulse. The unit is based on an innovative PCB design which uses a 12bit fast analogue to digital converter and a 38MHz RISC microcontroller. Due to the utilization of a differential RS485 transmission protocol the GEM-GE-7511 energy meter is insensitive to electromagnetic noise and reliably operates inside high repetition rate EO Q-switched lamp pumped lasers.
The GEM-GE-7511 OEM energy meter connects to a PC for data readout via a USB port. Free software supplied shows an energy plot on your PC-screen.
In order to measure effectively a wide range of laser energies optional glass filters (diffusive glass, neutral density or colored filters) can be mounted and locked by a washer-nut in front of the photo-sensitive head. The Al-based mount of the OEM energy meter slides longitudinally on a vacuum-ground steel rail and is fixed in the desired position by a M3 Hex screw. In the transversal direction the rail has a positioning freedom of +/-12mm and is mounted to the host laser breadboard by two M4 Hex screws.
